If you are an SA resident who is returning after an uninterrupted period of at least 6 months then you qualify for DUTY FREE clearance on your used household
& personal items. You will be required to fill out a DA304 form and have this attested by customs to allow a duty free clearance.
A Returning SA resident is allowed 1 vehicle per family to be imported duty free, for a second vehicle duty will be applicable.
Note:
The vehicle is only regarding as duty free if client owed vehicle in foreign land for 12 months or more. If vehicle is shipped before the full 12 months pro-rata duty will be applicable.
